When the weather is good, you can move training out of the training room and into the fresh air. Meta Quest 3 headsets are a good choice for this, because unlike Meta Quest 2 they work without problems in direct sunlight. For participants, training outdoors is a welcome change from spending time indoors.
Running occupational health and safety training outdoors is a great opportunity to use the headsets at events such as Safety Days, company picnics or Firefighter’s Day. Learning through play in the virtual world makes for great entertainment.
When you organize this kind of training, you don’t need a monitor or projector: all you need is to give participants the headsets. If you want to follow their results or see what they see, use screen casting to a smartphone or tablet. Here is our guide on how to cast the headset view to a tablet.
How to run, for example, an 8-hour training without going back to the office to charge the headsets
There are several ways:
- Turn on battery saver mode on your headsets.
- Make sure all headsets are fully charged before the training.
- Use more than one headset for the training.
- Get additional accessories, such as a battery strap, from our sales specialist.
What are battery straps for training?
We added charging accessories to our offer to better meet our customers’ needs and make it possible to run long training sessions outdoors or wherever the headsets cannot be charged. We have two types of straps for Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3 headsets that extend the headset’s operating time by 2 hours. We also offer replaceable batteries that add another 2 hours, for a total of 6 hours of continuous use of one headset. For an 8-hour event, two headsets with straps and batteries are the best choice: together they cover 8 hours of work without breaks.
