MAXPOL occupational safety training center
We talked to Karolina Rajmund, training specialist at MAXPOL, about why MAXPOL decided to use VR in occupational health and safety training and which problems it solved.
MAXPOL is an occupational health and safety training center that provides training and consulting services, including:
It has been on the market for 25 years.
Karolina Rajmund: Before VR, our health and safety training was mainly multimedia presentations or lectures, sometimes with practical demonstrations. Getting the knowledge across was not a big problem, but participants were not always involved. Traditional training lacked interaction and the chance to practice, and so it lacked participants’ full involvement.
Karolina Rajmund: As a company, we want to develop and keep up with new technology. That’s why we thought about VR headsets. With VR, our health and safety training became more interactive, attractive and engaging. Participants literally step into a simulated work environment, practice various scenarios and gain practical experience, which makes the knowledge we pass on far more effective.
VR also lets us run training quickly at any place and time. It can reduce training costs, because there is no need to organize transport for participants.
We decided that this form of education answers the needs of the market and would help our company stand out. Thanks to the commitment and creativity of the whole team, we put the idea into practice. We want to use the latest and most effective learning methods, and we keep looking for solutions that help us, our partners and our clients develop. That is why we chose VR, which offers realistic, interactive learning.
MAXPOL Placówka Kształcenia BHP bought four Meta Quest headsets and the Professional package, which includes all applications.
