Workplace first aid VR – CPR and BLS in the factory setting.

About the training

BLS & AED in the Factory VR Training places participants in an industrial environment where they encounter an unconscious worker. The objective is to check vital functions, call emergency services, and place the casualty in the recovery position.

Using speech recognition, trainees interact with the rescue team, practicing realistic communication under pressure. The module strengthens confidence and preparedness for handling sudden medical emergencies in high-risk workplaces, ensuring employees know how to respond effectively.

Training Program

Training Objectives

The goal of the training is to:

  • Acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively provide first aid in cases of cardiac arrest (CA),
  • Apply cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) algorithms in practice, in line with the 2021 European Resuscitation Council (ERC) guidelines,
  • Develop skills in assessing safety and responding appropriately to hazards,
  • Enhance teamwork in situations that require collaborative interventions.

The training is conducted interactively, using VR technology, allowing for realistic simulations of emergency situations.

Participants

This training is intended for:

  • Employees of manufacturing and industrial companies,
  • Individuals responsible for providing first aid in the workplace,
  • Employees undergoing initial or periodic occupational health and safety (OHS) training.

Outline of the Training Program

Part I: Introduction to VR (1 minute)

  • Introduction to VR application operation: learning how to navigate and interact within the virtual environment,
  • Familiarization with hand tracking and speech recognition features.

Part II: Practical Training (15 minutes)

  • Safety Assessment: Identifying potential hazards for both the rescuer and the victim, simulating dangerous situations (e.g., presence of hazardous substances, risk of falling),
  • Basic Life Support (BLS): Assessing the victim’s condition (consciousness, breathing), correctly calling emergency services (according to the ERC algorithm), performing chest compressions with proper frequency and depth,
  • Teamwork: Defining roles within the rescue team, requesting help, and coordinating effectively in a group,
  • AED Operation: Correct use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), troubleshooting issues related to AED use (e.g., presence of water or metal at the scene),
  • Victim Transfer: Preparing the victim for transfer to emergency medical services.

Part III: Practical Test (10 minutes)

  • Safety Assessment: Random distractions that require the participant to react (e.g., noise, additional hazards),
  • BLS with AED Procedure: Comprehensive resuscitation, including handling distractions and making quick decisions,
  • Results and Analysis: Evaluation of the test outcomes based on correct procedural algorithms, detailed error analysis and recommendations for improvement, recording participant results in the system (either anonymously or assigned to the user’s profile).

The training is delivered in a VR environment, providing a safe space to refine skills in realistic scenarios, aligned with the current ERC 2021 standards.

Inside the training

What clients say
